Why are you passionate about mental health?
I am passionate about mental health because I am a parent of kids who struggle with mental illness. Advocating for them has shown me the struggle that individuals with a mental illness face and how hard it can be get services and supports. Through this journey I have met a lot of families like mine and individuals living with mental illness. Hearing their stories and struggles has compelled me to use what I have learned in advocating for my own kids to help others.
